Tutorial how to install CM 7.2 on Samsung Galaxy Gio (High Risk)

Read  Known Issue first before try this tutorial
Today i will share you a how to update your phone to CM 7.2 (Android Version 2.3.7), this tutorial is very dangerous it can make your phone boot loop, bricked, etc so if you still own your phone just only 1-2 weeks don't read this tutorial.
This ROM quite famous so what to lose if you try it, In this tutorial i will explain very careful so if any problem you can get restore your phone just same like before update it.
material in this tutorial i take from xda-forum, so if any of you wanna know the source can go there. i already test that tutorial and work.

Bug base on XDA-Forum, in this ROM :
1. Some option are not working on setting (like: mute camera sound, etc
2. Slow loading png image on gallery
3. After use camera, governor force back to "ondemand"

Not Working :
1. Sim Toolkit
2. lag on gallery (open images)

How to :
1. Backup Process

• Install Titanium Backup
• Go to titanium backup pick Schedule, edit schedule to Backup all user apps + system data
• run it
• go to contact, select Import/Export, select export to SD Card
• for messaging and memo just look in the market.
• contact, message, calendar, memo, etc has include in titanium backup but in case something happen you can use 3rd party app. 

2. Installation Process

• Install CWM 5.0.2.7
• Download old one (update-cm-7.2.0-03092012-gio-KANG-AROMA.zip) or a new one (Android 2.3.7 - CyanogenMod-7-20120920-NIGHTLY-gio) and put it in sd card root
• Go to recovery mode and install it.
• In installation mode it using GUI so you just need to press next button
• For advanced user you can pick what application you wanna install at installation mode
• Wait until finish
• Patch only work for old one, if you install new one don't patch it. After that patch your CM 7.2 with this patch-03092012 work for update-cm-7.2-20120325-NIGHTLY-gio-AROMA.zip or this patch-22042012 work for update-cm-7.2.0-20120421-NIGHTLY-gio-AROMA.zip, installation is like you install CM 7.2 so repeat step 3 - 6. (Work with NIGHTLY) *SEE DATE PARAMETER
• Your phone now already flash using CM 7.2

3. Restoring Process

• First thing you must do is installing Titanium Backup
• And install DroidSail Super App2Sd 
• Go to titanium backup click menu and select batch.
• Select Restore missing apps with data, don't restore all your device memory will be full and titanium backup will be stuck. for in several stage
• when stage one finish go to your droid sail and move installed app to your sd card.
• Do it offer again until finish.
• Now we restore our system, like contact, calendar, etc
• Go to titanium backup click menu and select batch
• Select Restore all system data.
• Wait until finish.
• Enjoy your phone with OS CM 7.2

Known Issue

• Some default application missing, like memo, default screenshot (Home Button+Power Button), Youtube (can be restore from TB), etc
• when restoring system data, select on titanium backup option Migrate system data
• Restoring titanium backup all your system data make your wireless not working solution restore just you needed don't select all.
• deselect  YouTube and Wi-fi Access Point when you restoring system data using titanium backup.
• if your contact don't restore then use vcard method. 
• Always install latest patch, in CM 7.2 there is application named GooManager, use this application to find out new patch.

REMEMBER TO COPY OLD OS TITANIUM BACKUP FILE TO CPU. 

This method already tested with my Samsung Galaxy Gio (GT-S5660).
