Overview
Samsung Galaxy Gio will never have the opportunity to taste ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) ROM, but thank to Maclaw and team we can taste it.Yesterday i had the opportunity to install / flash CM9 RC1 on my Samsung Galaxy Gio and now i will try to share my experience using this most wanted custom rom. And my purpose of writing this so you know before you do it.

Bug - This bug maybe now on fix progress
- Camera - you can use it, but you cannot use it from another application, like if you wanna upload a picture to your facebook you cannot direct use facebook function. cause it will show you blank screen. Same with another application even Document Scanner cannot open at all cause it must access camera.
- Battery - After install / flashing this custom ROM i had full charge my Samsung Galaxy Gio and then 6 hours later my battery remain 15%, this is with wireless on. while in home i full charge again and then 5 hours later my battery empty, this is with packet data on.
- Facebook Application - I don't know this is application bug or ROM bug, yesterday when i wanna comment via facebook application when i push enter comment box cannot down one line similarly when you type a long word the comment box cannot down one line, it continue and shift first words, suddenly when you type it again you cannot add more latter it will replace previous latter.
- S2E - I know many people say that this ROM not support using A2SD, but yesterday when finish install / flashing this ROM first thing i must do is installing S2E. I successfully install and activate S2E from the market after moving all apps to sd-ext and reboot, My Samsung Galaxy Gio suddenly feel so lag (My SdCard is Class 10) but when i don't use S2E it back smooth again.
Thing That I Like about this ROM
- View - I really like view of this custom ROM it make my Samsung Galaxy Gio like Nexus, LOL
- Trebuchet - Is CyanogenMod 9 launcher, from i use stock ROM i am always searching this look like launcher, in drawer is has 2 tab application and widget. it very cool
- Light - Without S2E bug this custom ROM is so light / smooth. you really don't have to wait long when you wanna run something. it will straight open after you click it.
- Keyboard - I feel keyboard is very fit with my finger, with this keyboard i can write so fast compare with stock and CM7.2 keyboard.
- Sd Card - Most cyanogenMod have this feature, after you use sdcard on you computer and plug in again to your smartphone it just need a second to recognize and use your sd card again, compare with stock ROM that need more then 3 minutes to recognize and use it again.
