ChainFire 3D Samsung Galaxy Gio (Configure Tutorial)

Overview

Chainfire3D is an intermediary OpenGL driver. What does that mean? It means that Chainfire3D sits between your apps and the graphics drivers, and can intercept and/or change commands between the two. It has some built-in functions, and can be further extended with plugins to provide extra functionality. this tutorial use by samsung galaxy gio users if they wanna play Final Fantasy III, without this software they will suffer Force Close.

Requirement

  1. Android 2.1 or newer
  2. Rooted Device

How to

  1. Download and install ChainFire3D v3.3
  2. Download and extract ChainFire3D Plugins on your sdcard
  3. Install ChainFire3D as usual.
  4. Run ChainFire3D

  5.  Above is the first display of ChainFire3D after you install it
  6. Click on CF3D driver it will install the ChainFire3D driver to your smartphone

  7. Click on Install and it will install ChainFire3D and reboot your smartphone, it will give you warning about ChainFire3D will make your smartphone cannot boot again, Ignore it by pressing OK button.
  8. After reboot your ChainFire3D Option will be available, slide it down until you found Install Plugins / Shaders click it

  9. ChainFire3D software will automatic search the plugins. Wait until display all plugins that has been found. If you download ChainFire3D Plugins it will display 3 plugins :
    • libGLEMU_POWERVR
    • libGLEMU_QUALCOMM
    • libGLEMU_NVIDIA

  10. Click all (one by one), for install. If you wanna configure your ChainFire3D click on Default OpenGL settings. you can set what driver you wanna use in here too, but for now i will not change the setting cause game that my install still not use ChainFire3D. I will just show you in case your install game need to use ChainFire3D.

  11. You can even configure ChainFire3D for specific application, slide it down until you found Per-App OpenGL Settings click this one and it will show you your application list, in here you can configure openGL for each application

Slide down again and you will see Use Plugin option, if you click on this it will let you pick where plugin you wanna use. list plugin contain all plugin you already install, so if you click on this it will show you 3 plugins NVIDIA, POWERVR, and QUALCOMM. just pick any that you game recommend it. for now i will not pick any of that cause now i don't have game that tld me to use ChainFire3D
