Review ICS 20.11.2012 JellAxy CM9 Latest Version

Overview

I has been many times trying custom rom that i consider the best for use on Samsung Galaxy Gio, and also has many times changing my ROM form maclaw until jellaxy but now apparently custom rom from jellaxy that has lured me. 

I has been trying Cyanogen 10 which is using JB source and now i am gone show you about CyanogenMod 9 which is using ICS source and both release by JellAxy Team.

Before i show you how to install or convince you to use it, i will show the views, weakness, etc. Now let see the views.

in this section i will tell you story about screenshots that share for you, first i wanna show you my system information in this picture you can see i am using :

1. Android version 4.0.4
2. Kernel version 2.6.35.14-ics+cas-ubuntu#1 Tue Nov 20 
3. CyanogenMod version 9-20121120-UNOFFICIAL-gio 

from that information you can see that i am using the latest CM9 from JellAxy, mobile data working and so with mobile data limit new facility in ics source. Using A2SD from michie you can get 256MB++ intenal memory like show in my screenshot my total space internal memory is 481MB. camera working perfect for all features except for video recording. and last but not least gps working perfect too, i am already try it with Google+ and Weatcher and News programs.

one note for me if you using A2sd or application that make you have bigger internal memory please use don't use trebuchet launcher, you will be experiencing lag. me myself i am using apex launcher and it very smooth. 

Now i am gone show you how to install it, this custom rom not include gapps (google apps) by default so you must install it by your self and i will gone show it too.

How to install 

1. Download cm-9-20121120-UNOFFICIAL-gio and wifi tethering patch (Optional) put in your sdcard root
2. You must have custom recovery installed on your phone, you can use px-recovery or cwm
3. Download [ICS]GAPPS
4. Reboot your device and go to recovery mode, press power button + home button
5. On recovery mode 
• go to Mount and Storage
• select format /system, format /data and format /cache
• back to main menu and select install zip from sdcard, select choose zip from sdcard and navigate to file cm-9-20121120-UNOFFICIAL-gio
• after finish install, back to main menu again and select wipe data / factory reset
• reboot and try to log at home screen
• after on home screen reboot your phone once again.
6. Installation progress on step 5 just only install CM9 Ice cream sandwich system, if you wanna adding account or download on play store you must install google apps (gapps refer on step 3)
7. Installing Gapps
• go to recovery mode
• select install zip from sdcard, select choose zip from sdcard and navigate to file on step 3
• after installation finish just reboot your phone
8. For using A2SD from michie :
1. download A2SDX from michie put on your sdcard
2. go to recovery mode
3. select install zip from sdcard, select choose zip from sdcard and navigate to file A2SDX from michie
4. after installation finish just reboot your phone, reboot this time maybe take some time cause A2SDX working linking your application, dalvik-cache, etc so please be patient
9. if you wanna using patch that fix your wifi tethering you can download file in the step 1 above, install it just like you install gapps or A2SDX, this step is optional cause i don't do this step.
10. Finish now you can enjoy CM9 ICS 20.11.2012 from JellAxy with A2SDX form michie

NOTE : FOR ME THIS CUSTOM ROM SO GREAT AND I REALLY LIKE THIS, EVEN SOMETIME I JUST FEEL A LITTLE LAG WHEN WIFI OR MOBILE DATA CONNECT BUT OVERALL IT FINE, I HAS BEEN USING IT FROM THE DAY IT RELEASE UNTIL NOW. AND I PLAN STILL USING IT UNTIL NEW RELEASE COME.
