Installing CM7 New Version on Galaxy Gio

Overview

Now day there is so many CyanogenMod 7.2 you can choose to install on your beloved Samsung GT-S5660. Today i wanna show you one the latest CyanogenMod 7.2 that i can find, I am already install it on my device and i wish to show you how it look on device.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

as you can see on above screenshot, this CyanogenMod 7.2 using the latest kernel version, screen lock still default CyanogenMod 7.2 but you can change it at system setting.

Drawer Screen

not include gapps for gingerbread on installation so you must install it by your self, launcher using adw launcher, i don't like it because when you close application this drawer back to home screen not on drawer screen but it very light so it up to you wanna use it or replace it with another drawer on market. On gallery still need time to load all albums and pictures, i don't know it bug or i need more setting to increase load time but when i try on first installation it need time to load.

GPS Screen

A GPS can lock faster so i think not problem with it. Sound on CyanogenMod 7.2 not good as others custom rom, but i think in this CyanogenMod 7.2 quite loud so you don;t need to install old phiexz library.
I don't have time to try and show about tethering but on description this version CyanogenMod 7.2 can be use.

Bluetooth Screen

Bluetooth work with great, i can pairing, send and receive file from my computer and vice versa.

How To Instal

1. Requirements :
   • At least GingerBread (2.3.6)
   • Already have custom recovery, CWM 5.0.2.7, Installing CWM V5.0.2.7 on your Galaxy Series
2. Download Unofficial CyanogenMod 7 (version:20121225)
3. Download gapps-gb-20110828-signed-share 
4. Place these 2 files on your sdcard, it recommended if you place these 2 files on your sdcard's root
5. Reboot your device and go to recovery mode, press power button + home button
6. On recovery mode 
• go to Mount and Storage
• select format /system, format /data and format /cache
• back to main menu and select install zip from sdcard, select choose zip from sdcard and navigate to file on step 2.
• after finish install, back to main menu again and select wipe data / factory reset
• reboot and try to log at home screen
• after on home screen reboot your phone once again.
7. Installing Gapps
• go to recovery mode
• select install zip from sdcard, select choose zip from sdcard and navigate to file on step 3
• after installation finish just reboot your phone
8. Finish, you have successful install CyanogenMod 7.2 on your device.
