Another Galaxy Gio Custom ROM MIUI Gingerbread Final [02/09/2012]

Overview

This is another great custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy Gio, i try to install / flash it on mine and it give me good result. MIUI is one of the most popular Android ROMs in the world. It is Android-based, featuring a more comfortable user experience and robust theme selection.
MIUI does not design for Samsung Galaxy Gio so we must use unofficial release that support our device. On XDA there is a lot MIUI porting, one of them is [MIUI][AOMP][2.4.20]MIUI Gingerbread Final[02/09/2012] by Franklin96. Today i will give you information what you need about these ROMs.

Bugs

1. Screenshot, but you can fix it by yourself by installing screenshot again from /system/app/screenshot.apk. just never use screenshot shortcut key volume down + menu button. if i press that combination my touch screen become hung and nothing can i do so i must restart it.
2. Sometime there is notice that there is an application become force close, but i don't know what application is that. and it not bother you with your activity.

How to Install

1. Install ClockworkModRecovery first, if you don't know how to install it please refer to this
2. Download [MIUI][AOMP][2.4.20]MIUI Gingerbread Final[02/09/2012] by Franklin96 place it on your sdcard root for easy access.
3. Restart your device and go to recovery mode by pressing Home button + Power button
4. When you installing / flashing ROMs remember to always format your /system, /data, and /cache. go to mount and storage, select format /system, format /data, and format /cache
5. After finish formating back to main menu and select install zip from sdcard, navigate and select to Miui_2.3.20GIO.zip
6. Wait until installation finish, and you will back to main menu, select wipe data / factory reset.
7. Now is time to install update, repeat step 5 - 6. but you must select UpdateFirstMiui_2.zip
8. Now you ready to use MIUI custom ROMs.

 Need to Know

1. Support Ext4 filesystem.
2. Support Link2SD, i don't know about Simple2Ext and App2SD Darktremor cause i am not try it.
3. When you select wipe data / factory reset on recovery mode it will format your second partition into ext4 filesystem. so when you create mount script for Link2SD select ext4 for 2nd partition
4. Don't enable app drawer cause you will difficulties when running application with button in top right.
5. Screenshot button need to add to Toggles Menu, Go to Settings, Toggle Settings, Customize toggles, drag Screenshot to top

NOTE : 
WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET WILL DELETE ALL YOUR DATA INCLUDE CONTACTS, MESSAGES etc SO BE CAREFUL, AT LEAST MAKE A BACK UP FIRST.
